The Maytrix by SMTH Shapes is Jordy's go-to weapon on tour. Designed for progressive surfing with everyday conditions in mind. It’s sleek outline is slightly wider around the nose to ease with paddling combined with a subtle tail hip at the fins, pulling in the squash tail and giving you that reliable high performance feel. The result of Jordy’s meticulous R&D is a board that can still feel lively and responsive when confronted with smaller gutless waves. For the average surfer this translates into a board that allows you to surf your best and progress your skills on any given day. If you’ve ever seen “Stab in the Dark” with Jordy Smith you’ll know he’s a harsh critic and therefore this board must work well.
The Maytrix comes as a thruster (3 fin), the standard for high performance surfing. Tested and refined by WCT Surfers Jordy Smith and Matt Mcgillivray.

The Goldfish by SMTH Shapes is a traditional fish outline adapted from one of Graham Smith's original 80’s templates. Modified with Jordy Smith’s influence to be more forgiving and perform by modern standards. These tweaks include softening the rails and introducing a deep double spiral concave to channel the water through the fins. This achieves a resistance free flow that can translate into some stylish surfing. Despite their retro look, deep swallow tails can provide performance functionality by gripping to the wave and holding edge through tight turns. The Goldfish will complement any quiver as an easy paddling board with addictive speed. The Goldfish comes standard as a twin but can be pushed a little harder as a quad fin. See more
The Little Wing by SMTH Shapes is a modernised Twin Fin Fish. It’s designed to be zippy and forgiving, maximising fun in weak waves. Compared to a regular shortboard it packs a lot more volume, making it a dream to paddle whilst still allowing you to ride it short. It features a wider outline that breaks into a winged swallow which gives you a tighter turning radius for a tail with extra area. Like most modern fish the Little Wing has a relaxed rocker, to control all the speed this generates SMTH Shapes have combined it with a deep single to double concave. When Jordy Smith rides a board he wants it to compliment his style of surfing that’s why the Little Wing and a lot of other SMTH surfboard models function on the perfect balance of control and looseness. The Humanoid by SMTH Shapes is a versatile hybrid surfboard designed to help you get as many waves as possible without sacrificing performance (originally called “The Wave Snatcher’ for good reason). It features a fuller outline with a touch more width around the nose than a standard shortboard, this helps with paddling and let’s you edge you into waves earlier. Combined with a pulled in rounded-pin tail allowing you to have more control in the pocket and feel stable when laying into some heavy footed carves. In regards to volume distribution the Humanoid is well balanced, paired with a relaxed rocker that flips up in the nose and tail the result of this gives you tonnes of down the line speed without compromising top to bottom surfing.
The Humanoid comes standard as a thruster (3 fin) but works well in a quad for serious tube shooting order as a 5 fin for the flexibility to try both. The all-rounded nature of this design makes it an excellent choice for travel. Tested by Jordy Smith and reviewed positively by Matt Wilco for Surfing Life Sled Review. (see below)

Featuring more volume upfront combined with a fuller outline and flatter rocker the BigRig paddles like a dream and picks up speed without effort. Its deeper bottom contours pass water more efficiently and create lift for a more lively feel. The overall thickness is balanced with pulled down rails for better engagement when performing power carves or hacks.

The Twin Trailer by SMTH Shapes is a timeless design that goes back to the 80’s. Inspired by Graham Smith’s time shaping “MR’s” in California as these iconic shapes exploded on the surf scene. To create this model rather than tuning up an old retro shape, The Smith’s took a modern high performance fish design and modified it to suit smaller conditions. These updates include relaxing the rocker and using a “beak nose” to hide more volume under the chest area. The result is a board that paddles easy, maintains speed and allows you to flow over anything.
As the name suggests the The Twin Trailer is the perfect design for a Twin+1 (smaller trailing fin) set up. This fin layout gives you all the drive and speed of a twin fin but with an extra touch of control and pivot from the smaller stabiliser.

The Volume by SMTH Shapes is a high performance shortboard that was developed to go a step further and touch better in weak conditions than Jordy’s go to competition model the Maytrix. After qualifying for the Olympics in Japan, Jordy flew over there and started refining this design. Besides increasing the boards overall volume as the name suggests the outline slightly shifts wider particularly towards the nose. The deck also utilises an aesthetically pleasing roll that hides thickness along the stringer line and tapers off towards the rails. A relaxed rocker offers quicker glide and speed generation whilst a deeper concave down the centre provides lift and allows you to maneuver effortlessly. The Volume is perfect for days when you want to perform your best in the average waves you’re handed. See more
The Goldfish Mid-Length by SMTH Shapes is a stretched out version of the Goldfish. They have basically made it longer and narrowed the nose and tail. This allows the board to still turn and fit into steeper parts of the wave. It is perfect for a surfer who wants a longer board that still offers performance. The rails have been softened and they introduced a single to double Vee bottom reducing drag and increasing manouverability. This achieves a resistance free flow that can translate into stylish smooth surfing. Despite their retro look, deep swallow tails can provide performance functionality by gripping to the wave and holding edge through tight turns. The wide point is above the centre of the board which creates loads of stability and forward momentum. The Goldfish Mid-Length is ideal for points and when the waves are less than ideal. This board can be surfed as a Twin, Thruster or Quad.

Modified with Jordy Smith’s influence to have a wider nose and a straighter outline with a more narrow tail. These changes have modernized the board a bit and it offers great paddle power but is still maneuverable. The Cosmic Fish has a slightly flattened bottom rocker with a tailflip, therefore, this board will still be stable in punchy conditions. In short, this is a fun and versatile Twin Fin. See more
